Portsmouth Water has gone out to tender with a contract for project management consultancy services for its Havant Thicket Winter Storage Reservoir scheme worth up to £7.2 million in total.
The water company is seeking a potential provider to deliver the services including:
- programme direction and co-ordination
- programme management office services
- procurement
- project management to manage workstreams and some projects within the programme.

The Havant Thicket Winter Storage Reservoir scheme involves a major 10-year programme of works to construct a reservoir and water distribution services which is currently in the exploratory/preparation phase.
In October 2019 the water company awarded a £3 million design services contract for the scheme.
A range of Portsmouth Water internal and other external agencies will form part of the wider programme team - part of the scope of the contract will include co-ordination of their activities.
The contract will be for an initial of 9. 5 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
